The newly elected Deputy National Chairman South of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has said that as a politician, he believes only in absolute loyalty, adding that there is nothing like 99.9 per cent loyalty.
Ambassador Arapaja stated this while speaking at the 63rd birthday get together organized in his honour by committee of Arapaja friends led by Mr Dare Adeleke, Chairman Pace Setter Transport Service in Oyo State.
The glamorous and colourful event which was held at his Felele residence, Ibadan on Saturday 13th November, 2021 had eminent and notable politicians across the South West in attendance.
In a press release signed by his Special Assistant on New Media and Publicity, Bamitale Ibrahim and made available to news men, Ambassador Arapaja applauded members of his immediate family, friends, political associates and other wellwishers that graced the special occasion of his 63rd birthday.
He said he was delighted by the show of love from all critical stakeholders, party men and others.
According to him, “it is imperative I appreciate those who out of their tight schedule made it to this event.
“I want to use this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Governor of Oyo State , Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for the love and support I always enjoy from him starting from the South West Congress which was held in Osogbo as well as the National Convention in Abuja that led to my emergence as the Deputy National Chairman South.
“I am an apostle of absolute loyalty hence the reason I have been enjoying outstanding relationship with all our party leaders under the kind supervision of His excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde. The idea of when you are loyal to me, reciprocate same gesture is the best in our political settings.
“I believe that in politics there is nothing like 99% loyalty, it must be complete one hundred percent.
“Makinde, being the leader of the party has done so much for me hence my resolution to forever be loyal to all his cause. Aside this, he is a man who always places premium on productivity, people and dividend of democracy. Such an individual deserves our support”, he enthused
Arapaja further acknowledged all the dignitaries both former and present political functionaries present at the occasion for their love and support.
Dignitaries that graced the event included Senator Kola Balogun representing Oyo South Senatorial district, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, all South West Zonal State Executives of PDP, Hon. Soji Adagunodo, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Hon. Akeem Ige, Hon. Gbenga Adewusi, Hon. Fatai Adesina, Adedoja Ekolo, Hon. Abdulwasih Musa, Hon. Sunday Babatunde among others.
High point of the event was the special prayers offered by Islamic clerics for the celebrant, his family and his political associates.
