A Non governmental organisation, Western Youths Development Forum (WYDEF) has honoured the Iyaloja General Of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as the Ambassador of Youths and Life Patron of the organisation.
The award ceremony was held at the Oluyole extension area of Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state on Friday.
Speaking, the National President of the Association, Prince Oyedele Sunday stated that the awardee, Alhaja Konibaje was deserving of the honour for her meritorious contributions and outstanding commitment to the welfare of humanity in Oyo state and Nigeria.
He, however, urged her not to relent in her effort in providing succour to the less privileged members of the society.
He further stated that the organization was established to tackle restiveness among the youths in the western geo-political region of the country and to re-orientate youths on good moral values that can foster growth and development in the nation.
Reacting, Alhaja Konibaje stated that the award will further encourage her to contribute more to the service of humanity while urging Nigerian youths not to be discouraged in the face of the numerous challenges confronting the country.
She further urged Nigerian youths to shun crime and other immoral vices capable of truncating their glorious future.
Present at the event included Babaloja of Oyo state, Alhaji Ismaila Jimoh, the Aare Oloja of Ibadan land, Alhaji Dauda Oladepo, Babaloja of Ibadan North, Alhaji Muniru Oladeji, the Chairman of Supplier Association, Elder Okotobo Abiodun, the Youth leader of Oyo state market, Adetunji Abidemi among others.
