Super Eagles midfielder, Peter Etebo wants to make his move from Stoke City to Watford a permanent one, after an “amazing” experience with the club since his arrival to the Hornets from Stoke City.

The Nigerian arrived in the summer on loan from the Potters, but has seen enough during his brief stay in Hertfordshire to know that he would like to stay beyond his current deal.

Speaking to Inside the Hive the midfielder said he would definitely be interested in making that happen.

“To be honest, I would love to,” he said when asked if he would like to stay at Watford. “Everyone has been amazing, the staff, the players, the dressing room, it has been good.

“Since I came to Watford, I have loved it from day one, so I would love to and if they want to make my deal permanent, I would love to stay.”

Watford are yet to see the best of Etebo, with a quad injury keeping him side-lined for the last three months.

However, he is expected to make his return to training in the next four weeks and is expected to be able to play a part in the second half of this season.
