The Oyo State government’s delegation led by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Mojeed Mogbonjubola, Chief Imam of Ibadan, Sheik Abdulganiyy Agbotomokekere and representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Tuesday led other important personalities to attend the third-day Fidau in honour of the departed Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje Ogungunniso 1.
In the government delegation were Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, Deputy Speaker, Muhammed Fadeyi and Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin.
Also in attendance were local government Chairmen in the state.
Prof. Kamil Oloso, who preached the sermon, appealed to all to always fear God in their dealings, saying that there is going to be judgement after death.
He urged the people to prepare ahead for death, noting that everybody will taste it irrespective of position and background.
