Members of Grassroots Football Talents Developers Association of Nigeria (GRAFTADEAN), has joined the football confraternity all over Nigeria to commiserate with Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC), the family of Alhaji Rasheed Balogun over the sudden death of the great football administrator.
The executive members of the grassroots football body were part of football bigwigs present at his burial ceremony in Mowe on Friday, to pay tributes to the widely traveled football manager, who had the honour of piloting the affairs of top clubs in the country, winning laurels in the process.
In a brief statement issued by the General Secretary of body, Hassan K. Olawumi and endorsed by Engr Waheed Afolabi, one of the BOT of the association made it known that football has lost a rare gem and a seasoned administrator and quintessential leader.
The President of GRAFTADEAN, Lawal Akeem Abiodun, popularly called Coach Udi, who doubles as the head Coach of Shooting Stars Under-13 category in the same vein described the late Balogun as a hardworking football administrator and a goal getter who will go to any extent to ensure his set out goal was achieved.
Similarly, clubs in the country have joined in mourning the death of the former Julius Berger, Sunshine Stars and Dolphins of Port Harcourt chieftain as stakeholders in other sports as well as well-meaning individuals have also been paying their respect to the late football administrator.
