The Osun State police command has stated that it is going to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of Miss Ajibola Heritage Ayomikun, a part two student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
Heritage, who resided in one of the private hostels, BVER, located within the vicinity of the university allegedly fell into the septic tank through an opening.
Speaking, the Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that the unfortunate incidence, which occurred on Wednesday, 9th day of February, 2022, saddened the university management while describing it as tragic and devastating.
He further stated that the owner of the private hostel has been issued a query by the university management stating that the school was awaiting his response.
He further clarified that all the hostels located within the students’ village are privately owned stating that they are not under the control of the university management.
