Eminent Nigerians have described the recently concluded Aje cultural festival as a sign of new beginning for the Yoruba ethnic group.
Dignitaries at the event who spoke to PMParrot further expressed their beliefs in projecting the rich cultures and traditions of the land.
The event, which was held at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Osun State, attracted many dignitaries.
Speaking with PMParrot, Mr. Idris Aregbe, a recipient awarded for his contribution to humanity revealed that the festival is a celebration for all race irrespective of religious affiliation while encouraging people to participate more in preserving the traditions and culture of the Yorubas.
He further stated, “I am passionate about the development of the Youths; I am deeply passionate about people’s happiness and anything that will bring facilitates development to the society”.
He, however, reaffirmed that he will continue to project the Yoruba culture through his various humanitarian projects.
Similarly, Chief Basorun Adeoye stated that the festival is believed to bring goodwill and wealth to the participants, describing the cultural festival as an omen of new beginning in Yoruba land.
Dignitaries honored at the festival included the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Adeyeye, Ojaja II; Mr. Mohammed Jebra; Mr. Ibrahim Dende Egungbonun;Â Charvet Nigeria Limited.
Others included foremost Traditional Ruler from Ghana, His Royal Majesty (HRM), King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II;Â President of the Ile-Ife Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Julius Gbolade Famariyo among others.
