Prokonnect Ltd, the publishers of Parrot Xtra Magazine have announced that a new edition of the periodic publication will hit the newsstands all over the South West of Nigeria on Tuesday morning.
According to the pointsman of the media outfit, Olayinka Agboola, the new edition was put together to celebrate the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olalekan Balogun who was installed over the weekend.
Said Agboola, “In our usual style, we have decided to be at the forefront of those celebrating the highly cerebral monarch because he was one of those who ensured the stability of the Parrot Publication business when we started 18 years ago here in Ibadan. All members of the Parrot Xtra Family will forever be appreciative of the fatherly role he played at that time.
”It is more imperative that we appreciate him because he supported us even when he did not know that he would actually, one day, become the Olubadan. This means that youths will tremendously enjoy from Oba Balogun’s benevolence. Of course, he is a youth judging from the kind of mindset he has. May his reign be peaceful and prosperous.”
While speaking further about the new publication, the publisher added “there are other interesting stories in the publication as well as interviews with the Owa of Itapa Ekiti and Olufaki of Ifaki Ekiti. We also interviewed Dele Omo Woli, the popular Instagram personality. Our readers should book ahead. We pledge to always do our best by God’s grace.”
The media house also maintains a Radio Show, Parrot Xtra/Ayekooto on Radio broadcast live on South West’s most listened to radio station, Splash 105.5fm every Tuesday between 11am and 12 noon.
