It was an assemblage of crème de la crème of the society at the prestigious Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) and World Lily Event Centre, the venues of the 60th birthday ceremony of Alhaja Mujidat Otolola Adesiyan, the wife of former minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Abdul Jelili Adesiyan.
The son of late Captain of IGC, Ola Ibironke popular known as Dudu Heritage, Segun Ibironke who is playing handicap 18 emerged winner with 83gross over 65net, while Folasade Ajala, the lady captain of Tiger Golf Club won in the women’s category with 95 gross over 78net on count back.
Adeyemo Lateef of Hassabary Golf club who scored 74gross over 68net and Temitope Alonge that gotten 104gross aver 78net on count back emerged the runners’ up in men and women categories respectively during a birthday Kitty played on 5th of March at IGC in honour of the former Lady Captain of IGC that turned 60 that day.
The reception and prize giving ceremony that was held at World Lily Event Centre had in attendance Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and his deputy Mr. Benedict Adegboyega Alabi, former Governor of Osun State, and former President of Nigeria Golf Federation, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Sen Iyiola Omisore and Senator Olalekan Mustapha.
Others included Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja, Dr Amudalat Bolanle Olaniyan, wife of the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, former Deputy Governor Central Bank, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, former Accountant General of Oyo State, Alhaji Salami and wife Alhaja Bolanle Salami, House of Rep. members, Hon Bentley, Hon Taiwo Oluga, Hon Rotimi Makinde and Former Commissioner of Finance Oyo State, Chief Zaccheus Adelabu.
Captains of Industries in attendance who danced to the music of Adewale Ayuba who entertained guests included Otunba Abimbola Davis, Babajide Agbeja, Founder and Chairman Lead City University, Prof Jide Owoeye, the acting Captain IGC, Mr Semiu Adenekan, Mr. Tunji Oladosu, Chief Efe Edward, Chairman Orchard Hotel and Bolaji Ayoola, MD of Dominion Auto who came in from Canada.
The list also included Barr. Abiodun Olatunji SAN, Barr Kehinde Adesiyan, Chief Akinyele Oladeji and wife Toyin Oladeji, Prince Bamidele Abolarin (Super Dee) Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Osun State, Hon Bayo Adeleke among others while the son of the celebrant Thaoban Adesiyan, a musician also performed at the event.
