Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti is set to hold its combined 25th, 26th convocation ceremony and the 40th anniversary of the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor of the school, Professor Edward Olanipekun revealed that the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele would deliver the convocation and fortieth-anniversary lecture of the university.
The VC stated that the convocation lecture titled, ‘The Role of Central Banks in Managing Economic Downturns’ will be delivered by the CBN boss on Monday, March 28 2022.
He further disclosed that former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande; former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN; Human rights lawyer, Femi Falani, SAN alongside Godwin Emefiele and other prominent citizens of the country would be conferred with the institution’s awards during the ceremony on Wednesday, March 30.
The VC further revealed that 278 graduands of the institution would be conferred with First class honours among the 16,433 graduating students of the institution.
