Barcelona Femeni striker, Asisat Oshoala, has returned from her injury after being out of action due to a knee injury suffered in February 2022.
It had earlier been reported that the Super Falcons striker sustained the injury in training ahead of Nigeria’s Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifying encounter against Ivory Coast.
On Thursday, the club posted Oshoala’s pictures at a training session.
The Spanish club also said Oshoala had been given the green light by the medical team to take part in Barcelona’s next game
A statement on the Barcelona website read, “There was good news to be had because all of Claudia Pina, Mariona Caldentey, Patri Guijarro and Asisat Oshoala have been given the medical go-ahead to play in tomorrow’s game.”
Super Falcons also shared a post, saying, “@Asisat Oshoala, welcome back.”
The 27-year-old scored six goals in the last four games.
In March 2022, Oshoala extended her contract with FC Barcelona to June 30, 2024.
The forward’s contract with the Club was due to expire at the end of this season.
The 27-year-old Nigerian joined Barça on January 31, 2019, and has proved her enormous appetite for goalscoring.
She has scored 80 goals in 101 competitive games, already making her the sixth-highest goalscorer in the team’s history. She scored her first Barça goal in a Champions League final in Budapest.
