Engineer Segun Oni, the gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party, (SDP) in Ekiti State has promised to prioritize payment of workers’ salaries if elected.
Oni stated this during his campaign in Ado Ekiti, the State capital on Thursday while debunking the rumour that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has persuaded him to step down from the governorship race.
He said, “Some people said I met with Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that he persuaded me to step down for the APC candidate, I want to tell you that such did not happen”.
Speaking further, the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shehu Musa Garba described Segun Oni as a man as a man of peace while urging the electorates to vote for him.
Adewole Adebayo, the party’s presidential candidate further urged the residents of the state to vote for the party’s candidate for the development of the state.
Dignitaries at the event included Taraba State SDP gubernatorial candidate, Danladi Baido, Kenneth Gbagi of Delta State, Akeem Lawal of Kwara State, Dr Umar Ardo of Adamawa State, among others.
