The gubernatorial Candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Mrs Kemi Elebute-Halle said that she has not defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) as some media outlets are speculating.
Elebute-Halle disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Ado-Ekiti.
She said that the news of defection to APC was a cheap lie from opposition parties who are intimidated by her chances of winning Saturday governorship election.
The ADP candidate noted that she has not collected a dime from any political party or individuals, adding that no godfather has been bankrolling her.
“I wish to state categorically that I have not defected to APC as some people have been spreading it on social media.
“I have spent over N4 billion to finance my gubernatorial campaign, so any person spreading rumour about I, Kemi Elebute-Halle that I collected N500 million to defect to APC is a cheap lie.
“Let the person or persons even the political party come out in public with evidence and as it stands ” no retreats, no surrender”, she said.
The ADP governorship candidate advised her followers to come out en masse and vote for ADP during Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
