Alhaja (Chief) Modinat Abosede Adedibu, wife of late Nigerian political icon, Lamidi Adedibu has urged all Nigerians who are eligible to vote to, as a matter of urgency get their permanent voter card (PVC).
Yeyelua Adedibu, as she is fondly called by admirers added that getting a PVC is tantamount to wishing Nigeria well.
Mrs Adedibu, who is also the South West Women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made this clarion call on Sunday while marking her birthday anniversary at her residence in Molete, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
Yeye, you spoke with PMParrot said “Getting a PVC is the most important move we, as patriotic Nigerians can make. It is a sign that we truly want change, an authentic change, not corrupted change. It is a sign that we are ready to change the narratives and the bad dream we are presently having.”
She continued “Nigeria has never had it this bad. Several aspects of our lives have been negatively affected. I do not want to mention anybody’s name. But we are all witnesses. We all know what is happening. We want radical change. That is why we must be able to work towards having that change.”
The elegant-looking politician also added jokingly “when we get our PVC, we should not use it as ATM o!
“We should not buy or sell our votes. We must be diligent and watchful. We all have to equally play the role of being our brothers’ keepers.”
Mr Adedibu then used the opportunity to thank all her children, family members, political associates who have been calling and praying for her on the anniversary of her birthday.
“I am most grateful to our governor here in Oyo State, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde, our National Deputy Chairman, Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige and several others. May Allah forever be with them too.”
