The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has urged Osun electorates to vote their consciences in the coming July 16th gubernatorial election.
In a statement issued by the Co-Ordinator of the group, Wole Adedoyin charged Osun Electorates to wake up from apathy and take their destiny in their hands while swiftly warning voters to abstain from being paid by corrupt politicians for their votes as such an act would attract the wrath of God.
ACPP said it was the civic responsibility of Osun citizens to collect their permanent voter cards and vote in the coming election.
“As the July 16th governorship election is around the corner, Osun citizens need to collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and vote according to their consciences, and not along their primordial or parochial sentiments.
“Osun citizens must be actively involved in the process of electing their next governor who will be in positions of authority in the next four years; it is part of their civic responsibility.”
In the same vein, ACPP urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure early opening polls and transparent elections in Osun state, being the second election to be conducted following the enactment of a new Electoral Law.
