Chairman of Pacesetter Transport Company, Prince Dare Adeleke has described the death of a serving lawmaker of Oyo state House of Assembly Hon. Ademola Olusegun Popoola as shocking and one death too many.
The 46 year old, who represented Ibadan Southeast constituency II at the Oyo State House of Assembly died on Tuesday evening at the University College Hospital (UCH) after suffering from Kidney related disease.
Hon Popoola, who was billed to be flown abroad for surgery before he eventually gave up the ghost, was the Chairman of the Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters at the House of Assembly.
According to Prince Adeleke, a staunch associate of Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who is currently in the United States of America while reacting to the lawmaker’s sudden demise said he would return to Nigeria this Wednesday as a mark of honour to the departed lawmaker who he described as his confidant and a core Oyo PDP member.
He prayed for the repose of his soul adding that God will grant his immediate and political family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
