Super Eagles’ star, Kelechi Nwakali is delighted with his start to life at new Spanish Segunda side, Ponferradina after he played a part in their first win of the season.
Nwakali laid out a great pass for Derik, who started fast and landed a powerful left-footed shot past the Cartagena goalkeeper for the game’s opening goal and his first assist of the season.
Ponferradina went ahead to win the game 3-2 and Nwakali was pleased with his team’s winning start that he wrote how he felt on social media.
“The best way to start the season 3points one assist we move,” the Super Eagles midfielder wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
Ponferradina will face UD Ibiza on Saturday in their first home game of the La Liga Smartbank season.
