Ahead of the 2023 general elections and political parties not leaving any stone unturned to outsmart one another, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Oyo State chapter has unveiled Alhaja Atinuke Adesope as the Deputy gubernatorial candidate of the party.
The unveiling programme was held at the Indoor Sports Hall of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, formerly Liberty Stadium, Oke-Ado Area, Ibadan.
Speaking on the choice of his running mate, the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Engr. Popoola Olukayode Joshua (POJ), described Alhaja Atinuke Adosope as a best match for the task ahead.
Popoola said NNPP is ready to liberate the people of Oyo State from the administration of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state.
Shortly after her unveiling, the NNPP Oyo State Deputy governorship candidate, Alhaja Atinuke Adesope said the party was the first party in the state to pick a female as Deputy Governor.
She berated the Peoples Democratic Party in the state for not rewarding the sacrifices made to the party.
Atinuke appealed to women to be actively involved in politics and vote for NNPP in the 2023 governorship election in Oyo State.
Southwest leader of the party, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan expressed the determination of the party to win the gubernatorial seat in Oyo state and come out victorious in other elective positions.
