Nigerian football star, Kelechi Iheanacho is set for his 180th appearance for Leicester City when they take on Crystal Palace in Saturday’s Premier League encounter at the King Power stadium as they aim to climb off the bottom of the log.

The Foxes are three points adrift of safety after nine matches this season, while the Eagles are sitting five points further ahead in 15th place.

Iheanacho who joined the Foxes for £25m from Manchester City in 2017 has scored 48 goals and made 29 assists in the 179 appearances for the club.

The game will also be his 176th EPL appearance since he made his debut against Watford in August 2015 while featuring for Manchester City.

The 26-year-old has also scored 38 goals and made 21 assists in English’s top flight division.

So far this season, the former youth international has made seven league appearances with his only goal coming on his first start against Brighton which ended in a 5-2 defeat.

The Nigerian will also be looking to score add to his tally against Palace. He has scored five times against Patrick Viera’s side.

He scored his first EPL goal – the winner against the Eagles at Selhurst Park in 2015 after coming on as a late substitute.

Meanwhile, there is no change concerning Wilfred Ndidi, who has a hamstring issue, with the Nigerian midfielder still a few weeks away from his return.

“We’ve had a couple of players who haven’t trained so much,” Rodgers said.

“Ndidi probably be a few weeks. When he came off, we were looking at about three weeks. We think it’ll be around that period of time from last week.”
