All is now set for the 2022 reunion of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association (GCIOBA) and 93rd Anniversary of the school.
In a statement made available to PMParrot by Dr Yinka Adepoju, the National Social Secretary of GCIOBA who also doubles as the Chairman, 2022 Reunion Planning Committee, the programme will hold between Thursday 20th and Saturday 22nd, 2022
In Adepoju’s words “The GCIOBA 2022 Annual Lecture with the Topic: The Mining Sector: Pivotal Role for Economic Diversification in Nigeria will hold at Justice Bolarinwa Babalakin Conference Hall in Gbogan, Osun State on Thursday 20th October, 2022 by 11:00am. The Hon Minister of Mines and Steel Development Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite FNIA is the Guest Speaker of this lecture.
“On Friday 21st October 2022, The National Executive Committee of the Association will pay visits to two orphanage homes in Ibadan as part of our welfare concern to the less priviledge in our society. There will be Jumat Service between 1:00pm – 2:00pm at the School’s Mosque donated by Old Boys later on that day while a Novelty Hockey Match between the Old Boys and Students will take place at 3:00pm on the school’s ground on that day.
“Saturday, 22nd October, 2022 is the grand finale of the 3 day event during which we will hold the Annual General Meeting of the Association, Thanksgiving/Memorial Service Commissioning of 2022 Projects executed and donated to the School by Old Boys and Luncheon/Presentation of Merit Awards to Seven distinguished Old Boys. All these events will take place between 9:00am and 4:00pm at Government College Ibadan premises while His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde FNSE will be the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion.”
Adepoju added “there will be enough space for all our guests to park their cars and security is also going to be tight. We assure all our guests that they will enjoy sharing their time with us.”
