Nigeria international, Moses Simon marked his 100th league game for Nantes after salvaging a goal for the host in their 2-2 draw to AC Ajaccio in one of the French Ligue 1 ties played over the weekend.

Moses, who played his 13th game of the season, bagged his fifth goal of the season in the 89th minute to save the Yellow and Green from another impending home loss.

Before his much-celebrated goal, French Ligue One club, FC Nantes had commemorated the winger’s 100th game after he reached the milestone in their home draw with AC Ajaccio.

The skillful attacker joined the Ligue One club permanently in the summer of 2020 from the Spanish La Liga club UD Levante.

Simon was first loaned to the French side in the winter of the 2019/2020 season and his amazing performance scoring 5 goals in 26 matches warranted Nantes getting him a permanent deal.

Simon has scored 15 goals in 69 games since his permanent move and several European clubs have shown interest in his service.

He reached the milestone of 100 league games yesterday in the game involving FC Nantes and AC Ajaccio where he played 90 minutes.

“We are honoured for having crossed the milestone of 100 games in the league”, the club said.

Simon is expected to be in action when Nigeria’s Super Eagles face Portugal in an international friendly later this week.
