Oyo’s Most Influential Awards: Organizer Partners Yemi Sonde, Role Model Entertainment, Launches Nomination Website

The organizer of the Oyo State Most Influential Award series, Ibadan Media Limited, has unveiled its partnership with veteran journalists and broadcasters in the State, Chief Yemi Sonde, the proprietor of YES 101.7FM, along with Alhaji Babatunde Saheed, Mr. Enitan Olusegun Bamidele, popularly known as EOB respectively.

The organizer further revealed that it has unveiled its award website, www.oyomostinfluentialawards.com in order to speed up the nomination process, as the 6th edition of the event is billed to happen on January 29, 2023. Speaking, Mr. Olanrewaju Ola, stated that the website, which contains some of the collections about the event, will be useful for the stakeholders who need information about the award, stating that most influential award series comprises of 100 most influential personalities & brands, man of the year, woman of the year, and youth of the year award in Oyo State.

Adding, “All these efforts are in a bid to have a more glamorous and desirable event with a better approach than that of the last edition, we’re still in talk with many other relevant institutions for partnership, and we will reach out to more corporate bodies and individual for collaboration.

“The people of Oyo State can start nominating recipients, individuals, or brands that deserve to be awarded in the Most Influential & Brands category, the nomination in these categories will end by Dec. 2022, while the nomination in the Man, Woman, and Youth of the year categories will end by Dec. 10th, 2022.

“The voting in these categories will start by December 15 and will be end by January 6, 2023 at a cost of 50 naira per vote in partnership with WATU Pay, a fintech company”.

He stated that the 100 Most Influential Personalities & Brands are non-voting categories, revealing that the selection will be handled by selected board of jury revealing that nominees in all the categories can either be indigenes of the state, present in the state or in the Diaspora or non-indigene who has contributed to the economic growth of the state.

It should be recalled that the owner of Apex Fabrics Int’l, Alhaji Shakiru Adebayo won the last edition of the Oyo State Man of the Year award and while Mrs. Olamide Ojo-Philips CEO of Greenplus Pharmacy and Saphyr Events,  won the 2021 Oyo State Youth of the year.
