All roads led to the elitist Mauve 21 Event Center on Ring Road, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State as one of the most vibrant radio stations in the country, Yes 101.7Fm celebrated Fuji music icon, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma who just turned 55.Â
The event which was held on Thursday, 24th of November, 2022 was planned by a committee headed by Pastor Seun Awodele and packaged by Apreel1 Events Management to celebrate one of Nigeria’s most popular musicians of our time.
The event was graced by creme de la creme in both in the entertainment industry, business world, and the general public.
Taiwo Obama a comedian who thrilled fans at the occasion eulogized Pasuma for his good works in the music industry, his achievements and humility.
At the same event, Pasuma’s biography was read by the queen of red carpet, Fola Slim.
The mother of the day, Alhaja Rahmat Romoke Ayinde (Kayrom Lee) and many notable dignitaries were on ground to celebrate the Fuji music icon while Oyewale Sofiat gave awesome renditions to the celebrant .
Fuji artistes that performed at the event to honor the celebrant included Oganla twin, Paso Poly, Ajijola and Taye Currency, Semiu Adenekan (DJ Semight), Olayinka Agboola (Publisher of Parrot Xtra Magazine) and several others.
When it was time for the celebrant to mount the stage, he displayed his dancing skills to the admiration of his fans and others who thronged the venue.
The group managing director, (GMD) Yes 101.7fm, Yemi Sonde praised the celebrant and prayed to God to continue to be the source of inspiration for the top flight musician.
The cutting of the special birthday cake was conducted by Rotimi Martins aka Alariwo of Africa who described Yemi Sonde as a very supportive and energetic man.
Also at the event, the Yes101.7 fm Celebrates Icons logo was unveiled by Dr Isaac Adegoke.
