The Governor Biodun Oyebanji-led administration in Ekiti State in collaboration with the Federal Government is set to reduce unemployment in the State.
The Executive Secretary Bureau of Employment, Labour and Productivity, Mrs Olubukola Faluyi disclosed this in her office while Fielding questions from journalists .
She appreciated the Federal Government for deeming it necessary to partner the State Government in training unemployed youth across the state with the aim of cushion the effect of COVID-19 .
Faluyi expressed the readiness of her office through the N SkILL to train the youth in different entrepreneurship jobs to reduce unemployment to appreciable level.
The Executive Secretary implored the potential beneficiaries to prepare their mind to learn the hand work that can improve their living status.
Also speaking, the Director, Human Capital Development, Dr Sunday Osundare explained that the Federal Government has concluded plans to eradicate unemployment and create jobs for our teeming youth across the Nation.
He, however, stressed on the commitment of the Federal Government in collaboration with Ekiti State government to provide job opportunities for the unemployed youths across the state.
He, therefore, emphasized that Federal Government would facilitate the employment of skilled individuals that would train those who are shortlisted for the program.
Osundare also urged the youths to make themselves available when the program finally commence.
