The Osun Voters League (OVL) has issued a statement advising the Osun Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) boss, Dr Mutiu Agboke to face his job and stop meddling in Osun politics.
In the statement issued during the week by the Coordinator of the League, Wole Adedoyin, expressed concern over the recent reports of the INEC boss, Dr Mutiu Agboke interfering in the state’s political activities. The League stated that the role of the INEC is to conduct free, fair, and transparent elections and not to engage in partisan politics.
The OVL emphasized that the INEC boss’s involvement in politics undermines the integrity of the commission and calls into question its impartiality. The League stated that the commission must maintain its impartiality and remain neutral at all times to ensure the credibility of the electoral process.
The OVL also called on the INEC boss, Dr Mutiu Agboke to concentrate on his job and fulfill his responsibilities to the people of Osun. The League stated that the INEC boss must ensure that the electoral process is transparent and that the results are credible.
