Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Adaralewa Michael has emphasized on the need to incorporate Information Technology, (IT) and risk assessment as key components into the processes and governance of any organization.
Adaralewa stated this during the celebration of the 2023 International Civil Defence Organization Day, held at the command’s headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
In a statement released by the State Public Relation Officer, DSC Okuneye Oyindamola, the Commandant described this year’s theme as a concept that sought to alert the corps on the need to harness the dynamics and evolution in information technology in prevention or mitigation of any occurrence that may have negative impact on lives and properties.
He called on the good people of Oyo state, corporate organizations and government institutions to key into the rapid advancement in information technology in achieving safety and protection against threats at all times.
The Commandant who used the opportunity to congratulate the Commandant-General of NSCDC, Dr. Abubakar Audi and the entire management and staff of the corps on the occasion of the 2023 International Civil Defence Day, prayed for grace to witness more years of celebration.
