The Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin’s first son, Kasope Abolarin has emerged as the member-elect representing Ifedayo State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly.

Kasope, 28, attended the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife between 2012 and 2020 to qualify as a Medical Doctor.

A source close to the family informed PMParrot that Dr Kasope made the personal decision to veer into politics because of his passion to serve his people.

Said our source, “We all believe Doctor Kasope got inspired to venture into politics because of his father, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin who is a political scientist, a lawyer, a teacher, humanist, philanthropist and school proprietor.

“The urge to serve his people is the main driving force. Some of us even believe his parents are not in support of his move but then, he has already satisfied them by attending the University not only to get educated but also to become a Medical Doctor. I am sure this is just the beginning of good things for us in Oke Ila and perhaps, in Osun State.

“Doctor Kasope has made history by being the first Medical Doctor to join politics to seek electoral office in this part of Nigeria and he won.”
