Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadan land, Arc. (Dr.) Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) has congratulated Muslims in Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria in general following the sighting of the moon which signified the commencement of Ramadan.

Arc Giwa, in a press release signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, congratulated the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Sheikh Abdulganniy Agbotomokekere and Council, Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), Asiwaju Musulumi of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo Onimalu, Babasale Musulumi of Ibadan Land, Alhaji Lateef Oyelade, League of Imams and Alfas and all Muslim leaders across Oyo State and beyond.

“Ramadan is a period of sober reflection, dedication and discipline for Muslims. It is a month that allows us to shield ourselves from sin and rebirth, sacrifice and kindness and increase in devotion and worship of the almighty Allah.”

Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadan land, while preaching co-existence among Muslims and other religions’ believers, urged Muslims to use the Ramadan period to pray for Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole and work towards finding a lasting solution to the issue of cash crunch that is ravaging the country.

“I want to, therefore, urge Muslims to be more God-conscious and use the Ramadan period to pray to God to ease our land. We must continue individually and as a nuclear family to continue the observation of our five daily prayers, Taraweeh, increase recitation of the Qur’an, supplications and remembrance of Allah as well as shunning sinful and inappropriate actions that could aggravate the already bad situation.

“Ramadan is a period to display more kindness to fellow humans no matter their religion, race or gender,” Arc Hassan Giwa appealed.
