Alli, who was full of appreciation to media men in the state and beyond said “I am very appreciative of the roles you friends played in my emergence as senator-elect to represent the people of Oyo South. I will never take your support for granted.
“Yes, at some point, some people asked how we would get money to run our electioneering project. But I have a big God who took control. I also deployed the experience and the goodwill I have with the people of my senatorial district.
“We also won because my team is comprised of young and vibrant men and women who were very committed to the project. I thank them all too as well as all leaders of our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC)”
While concluding his speech, the experienced politician beseeched the media men in attendance to continue to help project his activities and also offer constructive criticisms where necessary.
He continued “I am your friend and I believe you want me to succeed. Please keep me on my toes because this first term as a senator, we must achieve great feats. I cannot do it alone. Let us do it together. We must not fail.”
