Nigeria’s football legend and ambassador, Dr Segun Odegbami, MON, over the weekend took to the social media to celebrate what he called ‘historic reunion’ with his club and national team mate, Dr Felix Owolabi.
In his submission which he titled ‘Owoblow’, Odegbami wrote:
“A few minutes ago, I ran into my club and national team mate and friend, a co-conqueror of African football at a time, a one-man riot squad, the unstoppable left- footed versatile, goal-scoring, hard-tackling, non-stop running, ‘Owoblow’, Dr. Felix Owolabi, MON, at the commissioning of Heritage Events Centre, Laderin, Abeokuta.
“It was a very happy re-union that elicited public interest and endless photographs with ‘strangers’ when they realised the ‘enormity’ of an unplanned encounter of two giant ‘retirees’ of the round leather game in a sequestered part of Abeokuta.
“The official reunion of the 1980 conquering squad is not until July 28th in Lagos”.
