In preparation for the forthcoming local government election slated for April 27, 2024 in Oyo State, conference of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Chairmen in Ibadan South East Local Government has endorsed the candidature of Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode as the sole candidate for chairmanship position in Ibadan South East Local Government.
The chairmen made their position known in a meeting they held with Hon. Alawode in his office on Wednesday.
The chairmen opined that Hon. Alawode has done wonderfully well in his first term tenure by ensuring that he carries the party along in everything he does.
They added that Hon. Alawode keys into the vision and mission of Governor Seyi Makinde led administration by spreading dividends of democracy to every nooks and crannies in the council and therefore deserves the support of all of the good people in the council for second term so as to continue the good work he is doing.
In his remark, Hon. Alawode popularly called “arole Omituntun” appreciated the chairmen for their unbiased and genuine support for continuity of good governance in Ibadan South East Local Government.
He equally promised not to take their support for granted by continue to rule with the fear of God and follows the good steps of his principal, Engr. Seyi Makinde who he describes as his role model in everything he does.
The ward chairmen that were in attendance and appended their signatures for endorsement were Mr Badiru Abideen – ward 2; Tajudeen Aremu Aderemi – ward 3; Abass Babatunde Anisere – ward 4; Olayiwola Kehinde – ward 5; Rasaki Taofeek – ward 6; Mogaji Tunde – ward 7; Oyetunde Ademola – ward 8; Dauda Tijani – ward 9; Suara Adisa – ward 10 and Adebayo Lukman – ward 11 respectively.
