The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed nine additional commissioner-designates presented by the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
They are Mr. Abiodun Akinkonmo, Mr. Segun Olayiwola, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, Prof Abdulwaheed Soliu, Hon. Majeed Mogbojunbola, Bar Olasunkanmi Olaleye, Mr. Williams Akinfunmilayo, Prince Dotun Oyelade and Mr. Obafemi Ademola Ojo
Governor Seyi Makinde had last week forwarded a list of commissioner nominees, requesting screening and approval of the state assembly.
At the plenary presided over by the speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, the commissioner designates took turns to intimate the assembly on their political career, educational background and their plans of action for the state if eventually confirmed and sworn-in.
The commissioner-designates were challenged by the lawmakers to prioritize the interest of the state especially at the local government level.
The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin also charged the nominees to discharge their duties in line with the Omituntun 2.0 agenda by the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
He, therefore, asked the commissioner designates to take a bow and go.
