Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has described Napoli’s UEFA Champions League match against SC Braga as ‘strange.’

Goals from Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Sikou Niakaté (own-goal) earned Napoli a 2-1 win over Braga in their opening Group C encounter played in Braga, Portugal.

Osimhen, who was substituted in the 90th minute, was named Player of the Match and he reflected on the game which took place at the Estádio Municipal de Braga.

“It’s strange to end a game without scoring,” Osimhen said on the UEFA official website.

“I’m a striker and strikers live for goals but it’s not something that bothers me too much because it’s already happened and I’m prepared for it.

“It’s not just with goals that you help the team and I’m always ready to help in other ways.”

Osimhen has been in decent form in the Italian Serie A in the current campaign – scoring three goals in four matches.

He scooped last season’s Capocannoniere (Serie A Golden Boot) award after netting 26 goals in 32 games.
