The report went on to submit that one person was killed and two people had earlier been abducted by the bandits few days ago.

It was also gathered that one of the victims who managed to escape informed the leaders of the community about the presence of the bandits inside the thick forest.

After receiving information about the suspected bandits, local vigilante members in the community swung into action on Sunday by combing the forest and they were repelled by the bandits who engaged them in gun duel.

“Some of the vigilante members sustained injuries and have been taken to the hospital in Igboho for medical attention”.
