Boxing fans have been delighted with the pay-per-view price for the December 23 boxing card in Saudi Arabia featuring Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder vs Joseph Parker as the co-main events.
The undercard will play host to a number of other exciting contests, such as Dmitry Bivol vs Lyndon Arthur, Daniel Dubois vs Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic vs Mark De Mori among other clashes.
And yet, for all this action, the event is being offered for just £19.99 in the UK $39.99 in the US and Canada, and $21.99 across the rest of the world.
This was announced on the X account of Turki Alalshikh, who is the chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment authority, which is the organisation that put the event together.
He tweeted, “We are proud to be hosting one of the most exciting nights of boxing that has ever been seen. Every single fight on this card could be the headliner!
“We want all boxing fans to be able to join this evening with us, so we have requested that all of our broadcast partners reduce the Pay per view to these prices to offer exceptional value for the fans.”
This is refreshing for boxing fans who have become used to higher pay-per-view prices of late.
And they made their approval known on social media, with one commenting, “Not bad tbf some great fights gotta be worth £20?”
Another added, “That’s actually good to see for once. Especially for the US boxing PPV, those folks just eat ripped off to no end with $80+ prices.”
While a third said, “£20 is a very reasonable price for this sort of card, will be buying it.”
