2024 Will Be a Glorious Year for Oyo Youths, Akande Kazeem, Chairman Aquatic Association Declares

In his New Year goodwill message, The Chairman Oyo State Aquatic Association Dr. Akande Kazeem has promised a new lease of life for his swimmers, saying “Athletes will be exposed to the best training, competitions and camping possible. The process is already ongoing and will be sustained”.

The Educationist, however, called on other stakeholders to support the growth of sports within and outside Oyo State, describing sports as a veritable tool for human and economic growth, saying he has put a machineries in motion from the beginning of the new year to provide and open up more opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and skills acquisition youths in Oyo State.

Dr. Akande, however, commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his good disposition to the development of Sports in the State, from the renovations of Lekan Salami Sports Complex Ibadan to the International standard and other stadia in all major cities in the State, to the huge rewards the governor paid out to all the athletes that represented the Oyo State at the last National Sports Festival held in Asaba Delta State and other international competitions.

“Our Governor is doing well for us, we youths in the States, hence my goodwill message to all Oyo State Youths and Sports families, please accept my best wishes for a happy new year 2024. We will continue with our initiatives of fostering peace among the teeming youths in the state, as an Ambassador of Peace.”

“To those who have faced hardships this year, we offer a message of hope. Remember that even in the darkest hours, there is a glimmer of light. Together, we can overcome challenges and build a more resilient and compassionate society. Let hope be the beacon that guides us into a brighter and more promising future.”

“I want to urge those in government to also allow the spirit of festivity to lead them in all their policies and actions. Jesus served his followers selflessly and we hope that our leaders at all levels will emulate this and serve Nigerians selflessly,” the founder of Easy Prevarsity Educational Consult noted in his New Year goodwill message.

The educationist who is a well-known philanthropist had received numerous awards for his contributions towards the development of education in Nigeria, youth empowerment and his tremendous contributions to humanity. He concluded by saying his organisation will continue to support initiatives across health, education, peace, agriculture, and youth development.
