Ibadan Blast: Methodist Bishop, Moradeyo Prays For Victims, Tasks FG

The Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria Ogbomoso Diocese, Rt Rev (Dr) David Ademola Moradeyo who also doubles as the Chairman of Oyo State Christian Pilgrims’ Welfare Board and one of the fathers of faith in the state has sent his words of sympathy to Governor Seyi Makinde, the Olubadan of Ibadanland and the directly affected victims of the Ibadan explosion disaster that occurred on Tuesday night by 7.44pm.

The cleric, in a statement made available to PMParrot said “I  first of all thought it was an earthquake that visited Ibadan and environs not knowing that it was caused by an illegal miners.

“Let me bring my commiseration from all the Methodist people of Ogbomoso and all Christians, Muslims and traditional worshippers of the interfaith council of Ogbomosoland to all and sundry in Ibadanland and Oyo state in general.

Bishop Moradeyo who is also a certified Engineer concluded by offering prayers for the victim saying “May the good lord console all those who lost loved ones and property as well as continue to protect all of us in the state in Jesus name.

He also used the opportunity to urge the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government to come to the aid of the state and assist in all ramifications to put smiles on the face of the victims.

While commending the state’s Governor ‘Seyi Makinde for being proactive in his response to the development, the Bishop said “I am not surprised that His Excellency was able to react and do the right thing at the right time. Take it or leave it, he is a beloved of God. He always gets to do the right thing at the right time for the right set of people. Only God grants this kind of gift to His beloved”.
