Family Plans Grand Ceremony To Celebrate Passage Of Matriarch, Mama Eunice Ogunleye

The Ogunleye family has rolled out the burial program to celebrate the passage of their matriarch Mrs. Eunice Oladeji Ogunleye popularly called Mama Owo when alive.

She hailed from Modongho Compound, Uka in Òwò, Ondo State and she died on the 17th day of September, 2023.

A Christian wake, according to the burial programmes rolled out by the family, will be held at the Oluyole Ibadan residence of the deceased on Monday 15th of April while she will be moved to her town, Owo, Ondo State on Wednesday 17th April for Ajabu Dance.

On Friday, 19th April another dance will also be performed in the morning after which another Christian wake will be held in the evening, and by Saturday 20th April, celebration of life service will be held at New Church Cathedral, Owo while interment will follow immediately and guests and well-wishers will be entertained.

Outing and Thanksgiving service will be held at the New Church Cathedral Owo on Sunday 21st April and a final outing and an elaborate party will be held at Mahathan Hall Jericho Ibadan by Saturday 27th April to round off the burial rite of the loving mother.

She is survived by Mr. Oladehinde Raphael Ayinla Ogunleye, Mr. Akinwumi John Ogunleye, Mrs. Titilayo Omolara Arike Agbeko (Nee Ogunleye) based in London, Mrs. Olaide Ajoke Williams (Nee Ogunleye) also based in London and Mr. Kofoworola Clement Ayinde Ogunleye popularly known as ‘Sparrow’ and Miss Sijuola Arike Ogunleye.
