Super Eagles’ attacker, Terem Moffi broke his three-match goal drought for Nice with a stellar performance against Toulouse but his team lost the game 2-1.
The Super Eagles forward, who had been enduring a dry spell in front of goal, found his scoring touch in the eighth minute.
Prior to his goal, Moffi’s last scoring moment for his club occurred on December 20, 2023, when he netted a brace against Lens, just before departing for AFCON duty.
The goal not only relieved the pressure on him but also provided a much-needed boost for his team.
Moffi has been a key contributor for Nice this season, showcasing his scoring prowess in 20 appearances for the club as he was rated 7.2 in yesterday’s Ligue 1 match.
The striker has found the back of the net seven times, demonstrating his clinical finishing and ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
In addition to his goal-scoring exploits, Moffi has also been instrumental in setting up his teammates, providing three assists over the course of the campaign.
In another French Ligue game, Akor Adams failed to score again but Montpellier drew 2-2 with Strasbourg. Adams has played in 22 games and has scored seven goals. He was removed in the 81st minute.
Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon featured in his 20th game of the season for Nantes but they lost the fixture 2-0 at home to Metz. Simon has scored three goals with five assists.
