Foremost destination management firm and owner of the UfitFly brand has said the multi million naira support to the recently concluded Rotary Sports Festival tagged ‘ROSFEST 2024’ was part of its commitment and unwavering support for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The star prize of the event was an all-expense paid trip to The Kingdom of Jordan worth NGN 3,500,000.00 which was presented to the overall winner in Scrabble competition and winners in Draught and table tennis games respectfully also went home with East Africa entry clearance E-visas worth two hundred and fifty thousand naira each all donated by UfitFly.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the maiden edition of the event, the District Governor, Rita Ejezie, said her District decided to introduce the festival to increase blood circulation, healthy living, mental health and increase team work for all Rotarians.
Various sports participated in by the Rotarians included football, scramble, golf, volleyball, lawn tennis, tug of war, draught, Ayo, table tennis, badminton and chess as the final match of the football event which was played during the closing ceremony was between Rotary Abeokuta City and Rotary Lagos City.
Ejezie said the goals of the competition include fostering more cordial relationship and social cohesion amongst Rotarians and to improve the physical and mental well-being of her members, while commending UfitFly for identifying with ROSFEST.
Bisola Folarin, the regional manager, Lagos of the destination management firm, (Ufitfly) in his remarks said “ROSFEST is a game we are proud to identify with because of its uniqueness and moreover our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy supports the idea of identifying with sports and vocations that impact positively on the society.”
Among other dignitaries that graced the closing event were Chief MI Okoro, former Captain of Ikoyi Club Golf section, the District Governor Elect 9112 Femi Adenekan and Chief Larry Izamoje the CEO, Brilla FM Nigeria.
