The Head of Service in Oyo State, Mrs Olubunmi Oni on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the Agodi, GRA Ibadan home of one of the Senior Directors in the state’s Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Mrs Modupe Adesina over the demise of her husband, Olajide Adesina.
Mr Adesina, a chartered accountant died at a Lagos State Government Hospital on Thursday at the age of 58.
While consoling Mrs Adesina, the Head of Service who was accompanied by other top civil servants told the bereaved to hold on to God adding that “nothing happens to human beings without the knowledge of our Maker. We must always take solace in Him.
“At the same time, I want to use this opportunity to pray for you and your lovely daughters. God will give you the fortitude to bear this great loss. Mr Adesina passed on when this state, this nation need his services. May his kind soul rest in peace.”
In a related development, a family source hinted that burial and other activities to honour the deceased will hold next week Wednesday and Friday.
The late Olajide Adesina who attended Loyola College, Ibadan and the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife is survived by Barrister Adewale Adesina and other siblings as well as an aged mother.
Olajide’s late father, Justice Okeyode Adesina of the Oyo State High Court died over 10 years ago.
