It was the best of grassroots football over the weekend in Ibadan when UDI Soccer Machine FC defeated Eagle Babes FC to lift the much publicized KENTIMA Veg. Oil football Championship at a final played at the football pitch of Lagelu Grammar School, in the capital city of Oyo State.
D Pride FC also claimed the third spot at the expense of Anjorin FC during the third-placed match played earlier on Sunday 18th August 2024 after which individual prizes were presented to various winners after the closing ceremony.
The Grassroots Football Talents Developers Association of Nigeria {GRAFTADEAN}, the talent discovery body that organized the tournament under leadership of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOTs) Prince Wasiu Oloyede Asanike, the Vice Chairman, Engr Waheed Afolabi Emmanuel and President of the body Coach Kazeem Yusuff aka Fufana commended the sponsor of the tourney Alhaja Badirat Oyedotun, CEO Kentima Vegetables Oil, Ibadan.
Among dignitaries that attended the soccer final included: Alh.Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda Chairman Egbeda Local Govt, Alhaji Mutiu Adewale Adebisi CEO Adeteck Electrical Nig Ltd, Hon Adeyemo Saheed Sanjay, Alhaji Abd Akeem Fasasi Aktofas Golden Heritage Alhaji Hamzat Damilaree Alajiogbo, Alh Simbiat Moronke Adebisi CEO of Simronk Image Unique Resources.
