The Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government of Oyo State, Alh AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju has implored career officers and political functionaries in the council to work in harmony for the development of their the council areas.
He gave the words of advice at the interactive meeting between Political functionaries and Heads of Departments  from Ibadan Northwest and Okebadan North LCDA.
According to Alhaji Adepoju, the major goal of any career officer or  political appointee working in the Local Government is the growth of the Council, of which cannot be achieved individually but collectively, hence the need for the familiarization meeting with all supervisors, Special Assistants and all Heads of Departments from the main Council and LCDA for the smooth running of the Local Government. He charged them to strategise, brainstorm and come up with innovative ideas that could strengthen the development of the Council. The Council Boss assured the attendees that efforts are in top gear to ensure a more conducive working environment that could enhance effective productivity.
In their separate remarks, the Vice Chairman , Alh Ganiy Omotosho and the Secretary, Mrs Sarah Shobowale commended the Executive Chairman for his initiative and idea of creating mutual relationship among his working cabinet. Stressing that the meeting will enhance proper integration and cordial relationship between the two parties.
They urged the Career Officers both from the LCDA and main council to create a strong synergy among themselves for proper coordination of their schedules.
Earlier in her welcome address,the Head of the Local Government Administration Mrs Rachael Olabode congratulated all the Political functionaries on their appointments and assured them that the career officers are fully ready to establish a friendly relationship with them in making them achieve their desired goals as politicians. She charged them to be more proactive in their assigned portfolios.
She further reiterated that every assignment in the council are guided by relevant guidelines, hence the need to abide by the rules in handling any official assignment. The HLGA appreciated the Executive Chairman for his solomonic wisdom in ensuring a peaceful co-existence among his working cabinet and assured him unflinching supports of career officers in making his visions for the Council come to reality.
The interactive meeting which was held at the conference Hall of the Council Secretariat Onireke, had in attendance the Vice Chairman and Political Head of Okebadan North LCDA, Alh Ganiy Abiodun Omotosho,the Secretary, Mrs Sarah Shobowale, Assistant Secretary, Hajia Bola Oladeji, the Chief of staff, Mr Kazeem Fantola, All Supervisory Councillors and Special Assistants to the Executive Chairman.
Others were the Head of Local Government Administration of Ibadan Northwest LG, Mrs Rachael Olabode, Acting Head of Local Government Administration of Okebadan North LCDA, Alhaja Mujidat Ojewumi and All Heads of Departments from Ibadan Northwest and Okebadan North LCDA.
