Nigeria’s Super Falcons striker, Rasheedat Ajibade, has been named Spanish Liga F’s Player of the Month for September.
Ajibade, who has been a pivotal player for Atletico Madrid Feminine since joining the club, scored five goals and provided two assists in four appearances during the month.
The 24-year-old, who was instrumental to the club’s decent performance in the UEFA Women Champions League, beat Barceona’s Ewa Pajor, Real Madrid’s Caroline Weir, Levante Badalona’s María Llompart, and Athletic Club Femenino’s Nerea Nevado to the award.
The former Avaldsnes IL star has been one of Atletico Madrid’s top performers in the current campaign.
The 24-year-old also starred in the club’s 2-0 win over Athletico Bilbao on Saturday.
The former FC Robo player is currently the second-leading scorer in the Spanish Liga F behind Pajor.
Atletico Madrid occupy third position on the table behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.
