The Methodist Bishop of Ogbomoso Diocese and Chairman, Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rt. Rev. Engr. (Dr.) Ademola Moradeyo, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the passing unto glory of his elder brother, Elder Funmilayo Sunday Makinde.

In a special condolence message, Dr Moradeyo said “I received the news of the passing unto glory of your dear brother, Elder Funmilayo Sunday Makinde, with great shock and sadness. On behalf of the entire Ogbomoso Diocese of the Methodist Church Nigeria and the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, I want to extend our deepest condolences to you and your family,” the Bishop said.

Bishop Moradeyo described the late Elder Makinde as a ‘great pillar’ in the Makinde family, whose contributions to the family’s growth and development will never be forgotten.

The Bishop recalled that Elder Makinde was a special guest of honour at the Diocesan harvest of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ogbomoso, on November 24th, 2024.

Elder Makinde was eagerly preparing to visit the earthly Jerusalem but has gone into the heavenly Jerusalem, his permanent home,” the Bishop said.

Rt. Rev. Engr. (Dr.) Moradeyo prayed that God would grant the Makinde family the fortitude to bear the loss, and comfort them at this moment of grieving.
