In recognition of his exceptional dedication to maintaining peace and security in Rivers State, the Orashi National Congress has honoured the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewole.
The award ceremony, which celebrated his commitment to fighting insecurity since his early days in the state, was received on his behalf by ACP Cecy Brown, the Area Commander of Ahoada.
Presenting the award, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, described CP Adepoju as a well-organized and disciplined officer whose leadership has significantly contributed to enhancing security in Rivers State.
He commended the Commissioner for his unwavering support and strategic approach in addressing the state’s security challenges.
Speaking further, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe praised ACP Cecy Brown, who was also honoured by the Congress for her remarkable achievements since assuming office as the Area Commander. He noted that under her leadership, the Ahoada Area Command has witnessed unprecedented levels of security and peaceful coexistence.
Highlighting one of the major milestones under her tenure, the President General mentioned the initiative for a new command building aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
He called on the Federal, State, and Local governments to support the Commander in completing the project, emphasizing its importance in strengthening security infrastructure in the region.
At the investiture ceremony for the Deputy Governor which was attended by key stakeholders, community leaders, and security personnel who lauded the efforts of the Commissioner of Police and the Area Commander in ensuring the safety and well-being of Rivers people.
The Orashi National Congress reiterated its commitment to recognizing and supporting individuals and institutions contributing to peace and development in the Orashi region and beyond.
