The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa, has congratulated Nigerian on the occasion of 2025 Workers’ Day celebration.
Arc Giwa, an APC chieftain, in a press release signed and made available through his media office to commemorate the annual celebration of workers in the country, commended them for their contributions to the growth and development of the country.
The Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland described workers as the lifeline and critical stakeholders of any country which their role can not be over emphasized.
He commended the federal government for prioritizing the welfare of workers in the country by implementing the new minimum wage.
Arc Giwa, however, appealed to President Bola Tinubu to monitor the implementation of the new minimum wage in order to ensure that no section is shortchanged.
In his message to the workers, the HOG Foundation founder charged them to remain committed to the implementation of the government policies and programmes geared towards creating good governance, and not compromising on their level of patriotism to their fatherland.
“I rejoice with workers in the country and I congratulate them on this year’s Workers’ Day. It is a day to acknowledge the efforts, contributions and sacrifices they have made, and are still paying towards the growth and development of their country, Nigeria. The workers are the lifeline of any country, and critical stakeholders in the nation’s development.
“As we celebrate workers, let us appreciate the federal government under President Bola Tinubu, for making the welfare of workers a priority. The implementation of the new minimum wage is a testament that the Tinubu government means well for the people.
Meanwhile, I want to advise the federal government to monitor the implementation to ensure that no ministry or agency is shortchanged.
“To workers, you have been doing well, and I want to appeal to you all to continue to maintain that high level of patriotism to your fatherland by supporting the government of the day, and ensuring productivity by implementing policies and programmes of the government geared towards growth and development of our dear nation.”
