The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled July 24 for a crucial National Executive Council (NEC) meeting to nominate a new national chairman.
The meeting follows the resignation of former chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje last Friday.
In the interim, Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, was appointed as Acting National Chairman and formally assumed office on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after an emergency NWC meeting at the party’s national secretariat, Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter, confirmed the NEC meeting date and said a formal notice has already been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
