The family of late former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina has joined others to congratulate former governor of the state, now the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Ladoja Arusa 1, on the occasion of his 81st birthday celebration and ascension to the throne as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
A statement by the scion of the family, Dr Ayobami Wasiu Lam-Adesina on Thursday, praised the Olubadan-designate for being an extremely focused statesman.
Dr Lam-Adesina said “we are proud to be associated with you because you have achieved so much as a politician and international businessman.
“In addition, we respect your sense of simplicity as well as love for the masses. We are sure Ibadanland will witness a lot of progress during your time because of your wide network of connections.
“We pray that Allah will continue to grant you sound health, wisdom and divine protection”.
Lam-Adesina’s family then went ahead to express optimism that the dream of the emergence of Ibadan State would become a reality during the time of Oba Ladoja.
