The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has said that he is running the affairs of the Commission according to the dictates of President Bola Tinubu’s unbiased leadership to the people of Nigeria.
Professor Saleh made the remarks on Saturday in Kano when he was honoured by the Tudunmurtala Development Foundation Kano as the NAHCON Chairman, who conducted the 2025 Hajj adjudged to be the best so far in recent Nigerian History.
“We regard this Commission as an office for all Muslims Nigerians, regardless of their political callings and or Islamic sect differences, this is the actual position and mandate of President Tinubu that was given to us,” the NAHCON Chairman said.
Saleh said, “Today as the gathering clearly shows, the mission of uniting Nigeria by President Tinubu without giving preference to political and religious differences has taken toll and on his part he promised to continue in that direction.
In his remarks, the chairman of the Foundation, who is a PDP stalwart, Alhaji Yahya Bagobiri, lauded the NAHCON Chairman for successfully organizing the 2025 Hajj exercise.
Also speaking, the Member of House Representative, representing Nassarawa Federal Constituency, and an NNPP member, Hassan Shehu Hussain, commended Professor Sale for upholding the real teachings of the Holy Quran
He said the NNPP Government in Kano State, has done well in terms of the provision of social amenities to the people, assuring that areas like Tudunmurtala, Rimin Kebbe and other places that benefitted from his road projects, would be considered for more dividends of democracy soon.
Also a member of the State House of Assembly, M.D Aliyu, thanked the organisers of the program, assuring them of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment to providing laudable projects for the socio-economic development of the state.
The programme brought together members of the All Progressives Congress, the New Nigerian People’s Party and People’s Democrstic Party as well as prominent Islamic scholars from the three main sects of Izala, Tijjaniya and Qadiriyya.
